If you have an iPhone, you may want to call someone without them seeing your phone number. If that’s the case, we can help you out. In this tutorial, we’ll walk you through the steps of disabling caller ID to block your phone number when making calls on your iPhone. We’ll include:
First of all, let’s explain what it means to disable your caller ID.
What it means to disable your own caller ID
Disabling your own caller ID means that you’ll be able to make calls without people being able to see the number you’re calling from. You may want to do this if you’re calling someone who you’d rather not be able to call you back. When you call someone, the caller ID will appear as “Unknown.”
That’s a brief summary of what it means to disable your own caller ID. Now, let’s go over the steps to blocking your caller ID on your phone-capable Apple device.
How to block your caller ID on iPhone:
1. Tap “Settings” on your home screen.
2. Scroll down your “Settings” menu and select “Phone”.
3. On the next screen, tap “Show My Caller ID.”
4. Move the toggle switch to the left to disable your own caller ID.
On the next screen, you’ll see “Show My Caller ID” with a toggle switch next to it. Slide the toggle switch to the left to disable your caller ID. When the switch turns from green to white, caller ID has been disabled.
5. Make a call without showing your phone number.
Your caller ID has now been disabled. From now on, you can make calls without your phone number being visible to the person you’re calling.
Make calls as you normally would, and if you want to re-enable caller ID, simply repeat steps 1 through 3 and then move the toggle switch in step 4 back to the right.
